Christmas Tree

Tyrel went and found us a very nice looking fur tree in the mountains. I usually get to go, but because of my growing condition I was unable to go snowshoeing to find our perfect tree. The last 3 Christmases we have decorated the tree how Tyrel likes it... with tinsel. There is nothing wrong with tinsel, but this year {and the years to come} the tree is mine. I bought myself a wooden star and some super cute wooden ornaments from Porters. Our stockings aren't the red felt ones anymore, I got some cute ones from a craft store here in town. After we decorated it, Tyrel was like "Steph, the tree looks pretty good!" As if he didn't trust me or something.

Kaden watching Ty figure out how to put the star on!

Putting on the ornaments

Kaden loves the ornaments. He rearranges them over and over all day. The only thing he can't touch are the candy canes, he has to wait till after Christmas. I see him just looking at them with want in his eyes. He loves candy. How do kids know what's candy and what isn't? I tried to give Kaden some dried banana chips and told him they were candy. He knew it wasn't candy and refused to even try it. What a stinker. I keep telling myself that someday he will eat fruits and vegetables.

Wyatt plays with the ornaments all day, too. That's funny about the candy canes- but what a good boy Kaden is to listen and not eat them yet!

They do know candy. Even the candy they have never seen before. Or they know what is in a pack of gum. How do they do that?

PS. Holy crap. You are only 43 days away from your due date!

Beautiful tree! And I agree-they really should just listen the first time. I decorated our tree, and then Jeremy found a box of ornaments his mom made and put them on the tree. Oh well-it's the memories that count, right?
