The Diapernapper

Two kiddos means double the diaper duty. I don't mind changing Paycen's diapers because they don't stink, but you always run the risk of getting peed on. I also don't mind changing Kaden's diapers because he holds still, but if they are poopey...basically just hold your breath for 2 minutes and wipe as fast as you can.

So the rule of thumb at our house is that all poopey diapers go outside immediately. There is a spot out our side door leading into the garage that we usually just chuck the diapers and then when the pile gets big we put them in the big garbage can. {We meaning Tyrel} So after Paycen was born the pile grew twice as fast with double the diapers, but I never really noticed because every time I went to chuck a new poopey out the door the pile was cleaned up. I kept thinking how I have an awesome husband. Then one day when Tyrel wasn't home I noticed that the pile of diapers was non-existant. I would throw one out, and then 4 hours later throw another one out and my last one was gone. We had a diapernapper.

I confronted Ty that night about the problem thinking it was our cats who were taking the diapers. But they have never touched the diapers before and we've had them for almost a year. Other options were possibly a racoon, fox, or our neighbors dog. The next couple days I never saw one diaper in our pile. This diapernapper was efficient, making sure there was never a diaper to be seen. Then one warm Saturday, Tyrel went outside in the backyard. He came in laughing and told me to look outside into the neighbors yard. I looked out the window but all I saw was snow and a bunch of snow balls covering the grassy area where the snow had melted. Ty said, "All those snowballs are diapers!" What?!? Diapers...There must have been about 40 snowball looking diapers in our neighbors backyard. We had found the diapernapper. Our neighbor's mut dog. Luckily for us he took them into his own yard to play with them. Gross...

That is so funny! Lucky he took them "away" but I am sure the neighbors didn't like it too much! :) And I hear you on the amount of diapers....3 babies in diapers....just imagine all the poop I have to see in a day! :) Hope everything is going good and you're getting into the swing of things with 2! HUGS!!!

Seriously, how could this work out any better? The nasty diapers are gone, and the dog took them back to its own yard. Your neighbors can't complain because they should learn not to let their dog run wild. Awesome. I think that dog deserves a Christmas present this year.

That is totally hilarious! Yay neighbor's dog! I have decided double diaper duty isn't so bad, it's double feedings that get me, because inevitably everyone decides they're hungry at the same time. You should record the dog while he's thieving the diapers and send it to AFV. :)
