After the wedding down in Utah, Tyrel and I took the kids to Hogle Zoo. This was the first time Kaden has been to a zoo. I thought he'd be a little jabber mouth and get all excited about the animals, but he fell quiet while watching them. He was just silently taking it all in.
Drinking at the lion fountain. I wonder how old this is...I used to drink out of this same one when I was a kid.
Kaden's first time seeing an elephant. His mouth was hanging open, but he never said a word. 
The elephant!! Later in the day we went back to "see the Elfent" and he was in the water spraying everyone. It was really fun.
Tyrel's first time ever seeing a Giraffe!!
Me holding a sleepy, sweaty Paycen. What a trooper. It was really hot that day, but all in all not a bad day. I really wanted to see the lion house with Shasta the stuffed liger, but it wasn't there. And the polar bears were gone to. I liked the penguins best. They were the only ones playing. The other animals were sleeping in the shade because it was so hot. Kaden still asks me "Mom! Go see Elfent?" All I can say is "No, not today buddy!" He lowers his head and says, "See elfent nother day?" "Yup sweetie, another day."

What a fun time at the zoo!! Come to think of it, I'm not sure that I've ever seen a giraffe????? HHHmmm...
the elfents are my favorite animal at the zoo too!!! What a fun little trip! :)
Fun! We took the girls to the zoo a couple of months ago and but it did not go so well. I was still pregnant sick so all of the smells made it worse (especially the rhinos) and Arleigh wasn't as excited about the animals as I wanted her to be. Maybe we just needed to go with you guys :-) You look really skinny, by the way.
It has changed so much huh? When we took Sophia for the first time last year I was like, "Where is everything?" Especially Shasta. I am so glad that we got to talk. I miss you!
Kaden has such a cute personality! I wander why elephants are so intriguing to little kids. They have always been Mady's favorite too. By the way, how do you get your stuff to post in order, my stuff always seems to post from bottom to top and I can't figure out the trick to getting consecutive ones to post from the top going down. Anyhow.. sound like tons of fun. We are taking the kids in August, hope Mady has as much fun as Kaden did.
Loved it! We took Ave to the zoo the other day and she loved it. Hope to see you this summer!
Wow looks like it was a fun experience. I sure wish you could read kid's brains.. specially with a new experience like Elephants!!! Just to know what they are thinking! I miss seeing all you guys at work.. it's been 2.5 months and I totally miss working with you all!
