Super Saturday

Saturday rolled around and the weather was windy but not too cold. My family came over to help continue to fix up the house. Dad even let Travis use the staple gun a couple of times. He was so giddy after that.

Mike and Ty measuring and cutting a piece of fascia to put on our house. The garage is Ty's new work station and he loves to just get out there and work.

Dad, Mike and Ty putting up the fascia in the back corner of our house. It was really easy putting it up in the back because the roof wasn't warped. But the front of the house took forever because the roof was warped so bad. There was a part of the roof that bowed really bad in the front, so Ty took a screwdriver and found a dead mouse. He dug it out in pieces and then the fascia fit a little better. Gross!

Early morning and Kaden is still in his jammies. When Ty was working by the garage Kaden loved it because he could stand on the kitchen counter and watch Ty work on putting up the soffet. I opened up the window a little and Kade kept saying "Hi dad!" over and over.

Front corner of our house and Ty is still working hard. The corners are the hardest. We ran out of soffet but he only has one more corner to go. Not bad.

I am so excited! Our house will look so good when it is done. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I guess you just get used to the way a certain thing looks after awhile, but when working on it all day you realize that it is about time we fixed it up. During the weekdays when Kaden would be taking a nap, I would come out and show Ty my own handy skills. I tried not to whine about how the saw was too loud, or the ladder was too wobbly. I just manned up and went to work. I learned how to use the staple gun and slid in the pieces of soffet. It was fun to be outside and work with Ty. Next step is windows and then the siding.

Okay! For all my friends that are Twilight fans, Stephenie Meyer has a new video clip on her website for the upcoming movie. I loved watching it and am so excited for December to roll around. It makes me want to read the books again! Here's the link. http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1585900&vid=226476

Wow.. I'm excited too because I just borrowed the 1st book to that serious. I have heard everyone talking about how great it is and am now able to since I finally Graduated. We'll have to chat about it sometime. Just don't tell me what's gonna happen and I get through it. Maybe you SHOULD read them again.. :)
