My two sweet boys!I wish I had a warning that my baby was coming 4weeks early. I would have cleaned my house, done laundry, taken a nap. Wow!! My world was just turned upside down. What a whirlwind!!
The Labor Story: {don't worry...it's short}
My water broke at 4:45 unexpectedly. I called Ty (he was working in Jackson...2-3 hrs away) and told him to come home. Then I called my mom and asked if she could come over. Around 5:10 my contractions started. My mom picked me up at around 5:30 and left Travis to watch Kaden. We rushed to the hospital (what a crazy ride...my poor mom almost had to deliver the baby in the van) I checked into the ER at 5:51 and was rushed upstairs only to find (to my dismay) that I was 10cm and couldn't get an epidural. I pushed with 2 contractions and out came Paycen at 6:04 with his loud voice and long dark hair. My mom was able to be with me in the delivery room, but unfortunately Ty missed it. I couldn't stop shaking. It was all way too fast. An hour and a half later our family was united and Ty was able to hold our baby.
Sorry...some day my life will be manageable and I will be able to answer the phone. Right now I am going to take a nap. Then I will get back to work...changing diapers, feeding babies, and protecting Paycen from Kaden's drill he got from Santa.

I am so excited for you guys! What a doll....and all that hair!!! Oh my! I wish we could come up to see him soon! I can't believe how quickly you had him! Kind-of funny because we were just talking about that....but I am glad all went well and you are amazing! Isn't 2 crazy? You'll get it though and then #'s 3,4 & 5 are a piece of cake! :)
Oh....I forgot....i wanted to do a photo shoot for you so let me know when would be good for you. I am assuming you aren't going back to work real soon but let me know....I can't wait to see him!!!
Oh Steph, he really is super cute! He looks so much like Ty. Also, once again I'm soooooooo glad you did not do that the night before! You would have made me pee my pants. I was shaking just listening as you were delivering...delivery is just so much crazier when it's someone you know pretty well.
I'm so glad everything went so well, though, and hopefully you'll be able to be get some sleep here and there! Good luck being a mommy of two!

Natural labor sucks, I'm glad things were over in just an hour! He is just darling, you guys make cute boys! Good job.
Someday we'll come visit and snuggle that baby, but we'll wait until you feel up to it!

Holy COW!!! So remember the night before you delivered.. I suggested you might want to pack your bag.. and you told me "Oh I know, but I have like 8 days off work now to get some things ready!" How funny. I talked to someone that night you delivered and thought they were playing a prank on me.. but you HAD delivered! Your baby is super cute! I LOVE the hair! Way to go STEPH.. I'm envious it went so quick for you!

Wow Steph. Maybe next time you should just live at the hospital. That is crazy that you went so fast! I'm so glad your mom was there for you and that things went well. He is so adorable. I need to make another trip to Rexburg soon to see you, but I'll wait until you start feeling better. Get some sleep and love those two up!

p.s. An hour? Seriously? I'm a little bit jealous about that. I mean, I don't want the four week early thing and I'd prefer an epidural but, an hour? I wish!

Wow! Congrats! What a story, I can't believe Paycen came so early. At least you're a nurse and knew what to do to stay calm and not freak out like I would have done. Congrats and I love the nickname fuzz head. Too cute.
I love the pictures. Next time you are at moms we need to do a webcam so I can see him closer. I miss you and wish we were there.

so glad you posted pictures he is so stinken cute. i am really happy for you that you are both doing great. miss seeing your happy face around work. i'll bring dinner over sometime.
